School costumes must be purchased for those dancers who wish to compete in WIDA feiseanna. Costumes vary depending on the age and competition level of the student. We do often have gently used costumes for sale, so always check first!

For our beginner dancers ages 11 and under, the WIDA costume consists of a white polo shirt, a green skort, and white poodle socks. You can get the polo shirt at Kohls, Target, Old Navy or Frenchtoast.com All beginners will need a WIDA patch on their polo shirts. Please see us for a patch. The dark green skort can be purchased at Frenchtoast.com or on Amazon. We usually have several used ones in the studio. No hair accessories are allowed in beginner. Hair should be neatly pulled back from the face either half up/half down, a bun, or French braid.

For our beginner boys ages 11 and under, the WIDA costume consists on the white polo shirt with a WIDA patch, black pants, black socks and black belt.

For our Primary dancers under the age of 15 by the feis year (January 1st of the current year), the costume consists of a school skirt, cuffs, black long sleeved mock turtleneck leotard, black tights or poodle socks. Our school skirts come from Prime Dress Designs and are ordered once a year. We do have some used outfits in the studio. Bun wigs and a plain hair accessory are allowed.

Our adults of any age may order a school skirt and the leotard, or have a school dress made. Solo dresses are allowed for any dancer 15 or older in all levels. Dress should be appropriate for level/age. Black tights for anyone 21 and older with any costume.

For gentlemen in Primary, they may wear a school vest, black dress shirt, red tie and black pants with black socks and a black belt.

For dancers in Intermediate and under the age of 12 by the feis year (January 1st of the current year), they will need a school skirt and leotard combination, or a school dress. Bun wigs are permitted with hair accessories.

For gentlemen in Intermediate and under the age of 12 by the feis year, they will need the school vest, black pants, black dress shirt, red tie, black socks and black belt.

For dancers in Intermediate, age 12 and older by the feis year may wear solo dresses or boys may have solo vests or jackets. Bun wigs are permitted and tiaras or sparkly hair accessory.

For all dancers in Open, solo dresses are allowed. You may also still wear a school skirt/leotard combination or school dress. Bun wigs are permitted along with hair accessories. Gentlemen may wear solo vests or jackets. Ladies may wear fitted black trousers and a top. Black tights are for dancers ages 21 and up, poodle socks or black tights for dancers under 21.

No makeup is allowed on dancers under the age of 11 by the feis year. No dark spray tans or jewelry beyond stud earrings. White laces are not allowed in ghillies or hard shoes and hard shoes should be all black. No buckles are permitted on shoes.
